For when you want chocolate and nothing else. Our home-fed sourdough starter gives these the same Spinsterly flavor and tender crumb, while real Dutch-process cocoa builds a base that's dark, smooth, and fudgy right through the center.
Then we double down: Ghirardelli semi-sweet chips fold into the dough and melt into glossy pools throughout. A hint of espresso powder ties it together, adding depth and making the chocolate taste even more like itself without tasting like coffee. Flaky sea salt on top keeps the richness in check.

Ingredients: all-purpose flour (organic hard red wheat flour, organic malted barley flour), organic dutched cocoa powder (organic fair trade cocoa processed with alkali), espresso powder, salt, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), cornstarch, baking powder (cornstarch, sodium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate), unsalted butter (pasteurized cream), brown sugar (molasses), granulated sugar, cage free eggs, vanilla extract (vanilla bean extractives, water, 35% alcohol), semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, soy lecithin, vanilla extract), spring water.
