Classic Sourdough Loaf

Every loaf starts with Li-Li.

She's our sourdough starter, lovingly fed and living on the counter, and she's been the heart of this kitchen since day one. There's no commercial yeast here and no shortcuts. Just flour, water, salt, and Li-Li doing what she does best on her own slow schedule.

That patience shows up in the bread. A deep golden, blistered crust that crackles when it cools. An open, tender crumb inside. And that unmistakable sourdough tang, complex and mellow rather than sharp, the kind of flavor that only comes from a starter that's been cared for over time.

Good on its own, better with butter, and honest enough to build a whole meal around. Baked in small batches, one boule at a time.

Ingredients: bread flour (unbleached hard red wheat flour, malted barley flour), spring water, salt
