Fresh rosemary and real Parmesan go into our classic sourdough, worked all the way through the dough so the flavor is in every bite rather than sitting in pockets. The rosemary is piney and fragrant, the Parmesan is nutty and salty, and together they turn a simple loaf into something you keep going back to.
Naturally leavened with Li-Li, our home-fed sourdough starter, which means a deep golden crust that crackles, an open and chewy crumb, and a gentle tang underneath that keeps the salt in check. The cheese that reaches the crust crisps up into little browned edges, which are widely considered the best part.
Perfect with soup, alongside pasta, torn into a salad, or eaten standing at the counter with butter. Baked in small batches.
Ingredients: bread flour (unbleached hard red wheat flour, malted barley flour), spring water, salt, rosemary, parmesan (raw cow’s milk, animal rennet, salt)
