Our home-fed sourdough starter is the Spinsterly touch here, and it's a natural fit. A snickerdoodle has always relied on a gentle tang for its signature flavor, and the starter delivers it honestly, with a depth and softness that lingers. The result is a cookie that tastes like the one you remember, only better.

Ingredients: all-purpose flour (organic hard red wheat flour, organic malted barley flour), cream of tartar, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), salt, cinnamon, unsalted butter (pasteurized cream), granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract (vanilla bean extractive, alcohol), spring water.
